Before the break

Hello people, it's been another week, this will be the last entry before I head off to the snow next week. It has not been a particularly eventful week, apart from having to set up a few works upstairs. The library needed some tidying, as many books and magazines needed to be put away into their assigned bookshelf space. This is a task that is sometimes never ending but very rewarding regarding the wealth of literature that is available to give a quick glance over between filing.

Next up, some invites are due to be sent out and stamping them and putting mail merge labels on them are the next thing in order that can be completed the next day. Apart from some hanging and tidying on the top floor (much smaller area), not much more has had to be done as we are in the middle of a show and the occasional visitor will come through and want to buy an artwork.

Time for a relaxing break snowboarding for me, I will post more in two weeks.

  1. I know what you mean about re-organising the library! I was given this task at my old internship place from undergrad (about 2 years ago)... It took about three days to do it properly. It may have taken me a little longer as I would also flick through amazing art books and old exhibition catalogues. It was a laborious but satisfying task... I like to think of it as my legacy for that particular gallery! It sounds like you've got a bit coming up in the prep for your next exhibition - looking forward to reading about it.

  2. I have a strong impression on your previous experience which is in gallery, isn’t it? Then now, you got a chance to coping with re-arranged books. Wow, it sounds everything’s getting along well. I know it is not easy to do such things, because every book entails to be classified in the right shelf, and you have to make sure where really they are. So , just keep your energy, i believe you can do a good job as your previous one. And good luck with you.
